1 Killed in San Diego Crash on Interstate 15 near Adams Avenue
San Diego, California (March 4, 2022) – A 76-year-old San Diego woman died after crashing into a big rig on the 15 Freeway early Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash happened on Interstate 15 near Adams Avenue at around 2:20 a.m.
CHP said a semi-truck driver lost control on the rain-slicked freeway and jackknifed.
Shortly after, the woman in a white Honda CRV slammed into the stopped big rig. The Honda was pinned under the trailer of the big rig.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated the woman from the wreckage.

The woman was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported in the accident.
The crash is under investigation.
