18-Month Old Child Among Four Injured in Sonoma County Bus Accident on River Road near Olivet Road
Sonoma County, California (March 6, 2022) – Four people, an 18-month-old child, were injured in a multi-vehicle crash involving a Sonoma County transit bus on Friday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened on River Road, just east of Olivet Road, on Friday, March 4.
CHP said a passenger vehicle rear-ended a car making a left-hand turn into a driveway near Olivet Road. The passenger vehicle then veered into the westbound lane, where it collided head-on with a Sonoma County transit bus.
Due to the impact of the collision, the bus toppled on its side in a ditch.
4 Injured in Sonoma County Crash
A passerby pulled out the 18-month-old from a car seat in the wrecked vehicle. The child was transported by responding paramedics to a hospital with moderate injuries.
The driver of the bus and two other occupants of the car were also hospitalized with moderate injuries.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The collision remains under investigation.
