Shae Lopez Killed in Ventura Car Crash on Highway 101 near Telephone Road
Ventura, California (March 6, 2022) – Shae Lopez, 33, of Oxnard was among two people who died in a wrong-way collision in Ventura early Sunday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Highway 101 near Telephone Road just before 2 a.m.
CHP said Javier Lopez, 23, of Camarillo was driving a Honda civic when he entered Highway 101 from Oxnard Boulevard and traveled the wrong way.
The Civic, which was northbound on the southbound side of Highway 101, collided with an oncoming Acura RSX driven by Shae Lopez.

Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
A 33-year-old Oxnard man in the Acura was extricated by firefighters and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
The southbound lanes of the highway were blocked for the investigation.
The collision is under investigation.
