One Hurt in Chico Moped Accident on Esplanade Road
Chico, California (March 6, 2022) – One person sustained major injuries in a collision between a vehicle and a moped in Chico early Sunday morning, according to Chico police.
The incident occurred at 3500 Esplanade Road at around 12:39 a.m.

A person riding a moped was reportedly hit by a pickup truck in the area.
The moped rider was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the pickup was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Authorities closed the roadway for several hours as authorities investigated the incident.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
