Marquis Evans ID'd as Driver Killed in Bakersfield Collision on Highway 14 near California City Boulevard

Bakersfield, California (March 6, 2022) – The driver who died in an early Sunday morning car crash in Bakersfield has been identified as Marquis Adrien Evans, 46, of California City.
The 2:20 a.m. collision took place on Highway 14, just south of California City Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, two vehicles collided on Highway 14 under unclear circumstances. One of them overturned and landed off the road.

Evans, who was one of the drivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.
