Woman Killed in Gardena Pedestrian Crash at South Vermont Avenue and West 149th Street
Gardena, California (March 13, 2022) – A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle on Saturday evening in Gardena, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 6:17 p.m., on March 12, at South Vermont Avenue and West 149th Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Toyota Prius was going southbound on Vermont Avenue, passing Marine Avenue, when the car struck the woman in the crosswalk.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
It was not clear if the involved driver was cited or arrested.
