Ruth Rancano Among 2 Killed in Oakdale Crash at Patterson and Bentley Roads
Oakdale, California (March 13, 2022) – Ruth Rancano, 56, of Modesto was among two people who were killed in a crash at an intersection near Oakdale on Saturday afternoon, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at Patterson and Bentley roads at around 2:25 p.m. March 12.
Authorities said Rancano was driving a 2007 Honda northbound on Bentley Road when she failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and struck the right side of a 2018 Chevrolet driven eastbound on Patterson Road by Eliseo Zapien, 45, of Waterford.
The two vehicles then collided with a 2017 Volkswagen traveling west on Patterson Road.

The impact caused the Chevrolet to overturn.
Rancano and the driver of the Volkswagen, Kellie Content, 31, of Modesto, were both killed in the collision.
Zapien and a passenger in the Volkswagen, Natalie Camacho, 31, of Modesto, were taken to Memorial Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
It's unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
