1 Hurt in San Diego Car Accident on Interstate 805 near Highway 52
San Diego, California (March 14, 2022) – One person was hurt in a traffic collision that happened Sunday afternoon in San Diego, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck was reported at around 1:38 p.m. on Interstate 805 near Highway 52.
As per the report, a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck crashed into a white Chevrolet Malibu, then swerved and collided with the center divider wall, destroying about 5 feet of it.
The pickup truck was partly blocking the No. 1 lane after the crash.
Police officers and firefighters responded to the scene and closed the Nos. 1 and 5 lanes.
Paramedics responded and helped a passenger of the Chevrolet who complained of pain to the neck. It was not clear if the patient was hospitalized.
Caltrans was requested to respond to the scene for the broken concrete barrier wall.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
