Girl Killed in Tulare Car Accident on Blackstone Street and MLK Boulevard
Tulare, California (March 14, 2022) – A 17-year-old girl was killed in a collision involving a suspected DUI motorist on Sunday night in Tuare, according to authorities.
The crash on Blackstone Street and MLK Boulevard happened shortly before 9 p.m. March 13.
Police said Manuel Correia, 83, was driving in the area when he collided with two teens on the roadway.
One of the victims, a 17-year-old Porterville girl, was pronounced deceased at a hospital.
The second victim, also a girl, was hospitalized with critical injuries.
Police arrested Correia and booked him into the Tulare County Jail on charges incuding DUI.
