At Least 1 Killed in Atwater Car Crash on N Fox Road near W Bellevue Road
Atwater, California (March 14, 2022) – At least one person died in a Monday morning crash involving a big rig that happened in Atwater, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The two-vehicle collision was reported at about 7:07 a.m. on N Fox Road, just north of W Bellevue Road.
A Chevrolet SUV occupied by a woman and children collided with a big rig under unclear circumstances.
The report said at least one person died in the crash, and a Merced County Sheriff-Coroner representative was called to the scene. There were no details given about the identity of the deceased or the vehicle they occupied.
Police also did not mention whether the other occupants of the vehicles were injured.
The Chevrolet was towed away with major left-side damage.
The roadway remained closed until just before 11:00 a.m. following the deadly wreck.
CHP is investigating the collision.
