Michelle Johnson ID'd as Woman Killed in Modesto DUI Crash at Woodland Avenue Yellowstone Avenue
Modesto, California (March 15, 2022) – The woman who died Sunday evening following a bicycle accident at an intersection in Modesto has been identified as Michelle Johnson, 38, of Modesto.
The deadly crash occurred at around 5:45 p.m. on March 13 at the intersection of Woodland Avenue and Yellowstone Avenue.
Authorities said Johnson was riding a bicycle northbound on Yellowstone Avenue towards Woodland Avenue when she was hit by a 2017 Acura ILX at the intersection.
Bicyclist Killed in Woodland Avenue Crash Identified
First responders found Johnson lying down on the roadway. She was transported to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The female driver of the Acura was found to be under the influence of alcohol. She was ultimately arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The intersection of Woodland and Yellowstone avenues was blocked following the crash.
