Jose Rodriguez Killed in Bakersfield Collision on Harris and Old River Roads
Bakersfield, California (March 16, 2022) – The motorcyclist who was killed in a collision on Sunday night in Bakersfield has been identified as Jose Zarate Rodriguez, 58, of Bakersfield, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office.
According to police, Rodriguez was riding a mini-motorcycle in the area when he was hit by a four-door sedan.
The crash took place on Harris and Old River roads just before 8 p.m. March 13.

Rodriguez died following the crash.
Police said the motorcycle that Rodriguez was riding was not street legal as it did not have lights.
The operator of the sedan remained at the scene and reportedly cooperated with investigators.
The crash is under investigation.
