Mary Plount ID'd as Victim of Fatal Valley Center Crash on Lilac Road

Valley Center, California (March 16, 2022) – Mary Plount, 78, of Valley Center was killed in a collision that happened early Tuesday morning in Valley Center, according to the authorities.
The incident occurred on Lilac Road, just north of Valley Center Road at around 5:50 a.m. March 15.
A 62-year-old man was driving a gray Lexus ES 350 east on Lilac Road when he swerved into the westbound side and collided head-on with an oncoming Chevrolet Bolt operated by a 72-year-old man.

Plount was a passenger in the westbound vehicle. She was transported to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where she was later pronounced deceased.
Two other parties were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
