21-Year-Old San Jacinto Driver Killed, Los Angeles Man Injured in Ramona Expressway Crash near Hansen Avenue in Lakeview
Lakeview, California (March 17, 2022) – A head-on collision has claimed the life of a San Jacinto man early Thursday morning in Lakeview and left another person injured, authorities said.
The incident happened at around 5:45 a.m. on the Ramona Expressway near Hansen Avenue and involved two vehicles.
According to the authorities, a 21-year-old man was driving a Hyundai Sonata westbound on the Ramona Expressway when, for unknown reasons, he drifted into the opposite lane and collided head-on with an Isuzu box van.
Both vehicles sustained major damage following the collision.

The driver of the Sonata was pronounce dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The van driver, a 34-year-old Los Angeles man, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.
Alcohol was not considered a factor in the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
