At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Orinda Car Accident on Highway 24 near Wilder Road
Orinda, California (March 19, 2022) – At least one person was seriously hurt in a multi-car accident that happened Friday night in Orinda, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at about 11:39 p.m. on westbound Highway 24, just east of Wilder Road.
Two sedans and a third vehicle were involved in the accident.
A party who called authorities to report the crash said one victim was trapped in their car with a broken leg.
Emergency crews responded to the scene to help the motorists.
According to the report, the accident resulted in major injuries. At least one person was hospitalized in unknown condition.
The two sedans acquired major front- and rear-end damage.
The lanes Nos. 1, 2, and 3 remained closed as investigators worked the scene.
CHP is investigating the collisions.
