2 Killed in Hollister Car Crash on Highway 156 near Flint Road
Hollister, California (March 20, 2022) – Two people died in a traffic collision that happened Saturday night on a highway in San Juan Bautista, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision was reported at around 10:50 p.m. on eastbound Highway 156, just east of Flint Road.
A 71-year-old man was driving a Honda Accord westbound on the highway when he veered across the double-yellow lines and collided head-on with an oncoming Nissan Murano.
The impact of the collision caused the Nissan to strike a Tesla Y.
2 Salinas Residents Killed in Head-On Collision in Hollister
The driver of the Honda and his passenger, a 63-year-old woman, were killed in the crash.
Two adults and two children inside the Nissan suffered minor injuries in the accident.
The Tesla driver also suffered minor injuries in the crash.
CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
