Two Killed in Watsonville Car Crash on Green Valley Road and Pennsylvania Drive

Watsonville, California (March 21, 2022) – Two people were killed Saturday night in a traffic collision in Watsonville, according to the Watsonville Police Department.
The deadly crash occurred shortly before 11:30 Saturday, March 19, on Green Valley Road and Pennsylvania Drive.
Police said a Nissan was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver allegedly ran a red light and slammed into a Chevy truck that was turning left onto Pennsylvania Drive.
Due to the impact, the truck struck a Honda that was stopped on Green Valley Road.
The Nissan driver, a 20-year-old man from Watsonville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
One of the passengers in the Nissan, a 16-year-old male from Watsonville, was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The second passenger, a 20-year-old male, was taken to the hospital and expected to recover.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. The driver of the Honda was uninjured, police said.
