Silvano Galendez and Ma Galendez ID'd as Salinas Residents Killed in Hollister Car Crash on Highway 156 near Flint Road
Hollister, California (March 22, 2022) – Silvano Galendez, 78, and Ma Galendez, 63, have been identified as the two Salinas residents who were killed in a Saturday night traffic accident in Hollister, according to the San Benito County Coroner's office.
The fatal collision was reported at around 10:50 p.m., on March 19, on eastbound Highway 156, just east of Flint Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Silvano was driving a Honda Accord westbound on the highway when he veered across the double-yellow lines onto the eastbound lane, where he collided head-on with an oncoming Nissan Murano.
As a result of the crash impact, the Honda reportedly continued moving westbound and collided with a Tesla.

Sadly, Silvano and his passenger, Ma Galendez, sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Two adults and two children inside the Nissan suffered minor injuries in the accident.
The Tesla driver also suffered minor injuries in the crash.
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
