1 Killed in Kern County Car Crash on South Lake Road in San Emidio
Kern County, California (March 28, 2022) – One person was killed in a car accident that took place in San Emidio in Kern County on Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A silver Honda SUV and a white Chevrolet pickup truck were involved in the crash that took place at around 12:22 p.m. on South Lake Road east of Gardner Field Road.
One of the vehicles reportedly drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the other vehicle.
The responding medics found a person lying on the side of the road and was pronounced deceased shortly after.
Details on the condition of other involved parties were not immediately available.
The crash caused a closure of the roadway for nearly three hours as crews worked at the scene.
An investigation into the deadly accident is ongoing.
