One Killed in Buffalo Ranch Car Crash on State Route 20 near Potter Valley Road
Mendocino County, California (March 28, 2022) – One person was killed in a traffic collision near Buffalo Ranch in Mendocino County Monday evening, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident took place on State Route 20 east of Potter Valley Road at around 5:28 p.m.
According to the report, a black Ford SUV, a blue truck, and a blue Mini Cooper were involved in the collision.
It's unclear what caused the vehicles to crash.
The CHP said emergency crews were called to the scene to extricate one person who was trapped in the wreckage.
One person was pronounced deceased at the scene following the collision.
At least five other parties were hospitalized with moderate to major injuries.
Eastbound traffic on SR 20 was affected by the collision for hours.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
