At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Stockton Car Crash on 5 Freeway near Downing Avenue Off-Ramp
Stockton, California (March 30, 2022) – At least one person was severely injured in a multi-vehicle collision involving an Enterprise box van that happened Wednesday morning in Stockton, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pileup was reported at about 8:28 a.m. on northbound 5 Freeway, just north of the Downing Avenue off-ramp.
As per the report, for unknown reasons, an Enterprise box van hit a sedan and another vehicle and overturned onto its side, blocking the lanes Nos. 1 and 2. The sedan also reportedly rolled over, trapping one person inside.
Emergency crews responded to the scene to find at least one person with severe injuries. An ambulance was sent to the scene to take the patient to the hospital.
Investigators did not immediately establish the cause of the crash, but they are collecting more information.
