5 Hospitalized after Palm Desert Crash at Varner Road and Avenue 38
Palm Desert, California (April 1, 2022) – Five people were injured, four severely, in a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Palm Desert.
According to the authorities, the accident happened at around 6 p.m. in the area of Varner Road and Avenue 38 near Cook Street.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash, but the circumstances of the collision were not immediately determined.
One person was trapped inside one of the vehicles and had to be extricated, according to the officials.
Four people suffered major injuries, while the fifth person had moderate injuries. The patients were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The accident caused a total shut down of Varner Road for an unknown period.
