31-Year-Old Man Killed in Beaumont Accident on Interstate 10
Beaumont, California (April 1, 2022) – A crash involving a tractor trailer left a US Navy Serviceman dead on Friday afternoon in Beaumont, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The 31-year-old man from Burgaw, North Carolina, was driving an SUV west on I-10 when he failed to stop for stopped traffic ahead and crashed into the rear of a 2019 Freightliner towing a 53-foot semi-trailer.
The accident took place at around 12:40 p.m. at Beaumont Avenue.

The driver of the SUV, who was stationed at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, died in the collision.
At least two westbound lanes on I-10 were closed for the investigation.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
