, California (April 1, 2022) – A crash involving a tractor trailer left a US Navy Serviceman dead on Friday afternoon in Beaumont, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The 31-year-old man from Burgaw, North Carolina, was driving an SUV west on when he failed to stop for stopped traffic ahead and crashed into the rear of a 2019 Freightliner towing a 53-foot semi-trailer.

The accident took place at around 12:40 p.m. at Beaumont Avenue.

At least two westbound lanes on I-10 were closed for the investigation.
