Rider Injured in Redding Motorcycle Accident on Cypress and Hartnell Avenues

Redding, California (April 2, 2022) – One person was injured in a motorcycle collision in Redding on Friday afternoon, according to the authorities.
A U-Haul van and a motorcycle were involved in the accident, which was reported at around 3:22 p.m. April 1.
The two collided in the area near Cypress and Hartnell Avenues.
Police said the vehicles were eastbound on Cypress Avenue when the driver of the van looked away from the road and slammed into the back of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle and the rider were both pinned under the van and were dragged several yards from the scene.

The rider was taken to a hospital with a possible leg fracture.
The eastbound side of Cypress Avenue was blocked for the investigation.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
