Woman Injured in San Diego Scooter Crash on 11th Avenue and E Street
San Diego, California (April 2, 2022) – A woman riding a scooter was injured when she collided with an Uber driver in San Diego early Saturday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The incident took place in the area of 11th Avenue and E Street just before 12:06 a.m.
Authorities said a 31-year-old woman was riding an electric scooter eastbound on E Street when she entered the intersection on a red light and crashed into the side of a Toyota Sienna operated by a 64-year-old man.
The woman was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, including a fracture to her left leg.
The San Diego Police Department is conducting an investigation into the incident.
