Cuesta Grade, California (April 4, 2022) – Kenneth Rocha, 19, was seriously injured in a deadly traffic collision that took place on the Cuesta Grade on Sunday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.

The wreck involved a 2003 Nissan 350Z and a 2019 Ford Fusion and occurred on Highway 101 near the de la Ciudad turnoff.

Gastelum and Rocha, who was a passenger in the Nissan, were hospitalized with major injuries.

Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash, which remained under investigation.
