Kenneth Rocha Injured in Cuesta Grade Crash on Highway 101
Cuesta Grade, California (April 4, 2022) – Kenneth Rocha, 19, was seriously injured in a deadly traffic collision that took place on the Cuesta Grade on Sunday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.
The wreck involved a 2003 Nissan 350Z and a 2019 Ford Fusion and occurred on Highway 101 near the Vista de la Ciudad turnoff.
At around 9:45 a.m. April 3, Justin Rodrigues, 18, of Lemoore was driving the Nissan south on Highway 101 when, for unknown reasons, he swerved into the path of oncoming traffic and collided with a northbound Ford driven by Sandra Gastelum, 54, of Santa Maria.

Rodrigues died as a result of the accident.
Gastelum and Rocha, who was a passenger in the Nissan, were hospitalized with major injuries.
Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash, which remained under investigation.
