Diego Hernandez ID'd as Paso Robles Man Killed in San Miguel Accident on Indian Valley Road and Vineyard Canyon Road

San Miguel, California (April 7, 2022) – Diego Hernandez, 24, of Paso Robles, has been identified as the man who was killed in a Monday afternoon traffic accident in San Miguel, authorities said.
The crash occurred at around 3:30 p.m., on April 4, on Indian Valley Road and Vineyard Canyon Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Mazda 3, driven by a 19-year-old man from Bradley, was headed northbound on Indian Valley Road when it made a left turn at Vineyard Canyon Road and collided head-on with a southbound Chevrolet Silverado.

Hernandez, who was a passenger in the Mazda, sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The driver of the Mazda was taken to a San Luis Obispo hospital with moderate injuries.
The pickup truck driver, a 40-year-old man from San Miguel, sustained minor injuries.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
