At Least 2 Injured in 580 Freeway Crash at Richmond-San Rafael Bridge in San Rafael
San Rafael, California (April 12, 2022) – Minor injuries were sustained in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Monday night near San Rafael, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pileup took place just after 9 p.m. on 580 Freeway at the midspan of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.
Four vehicles were involved in the collision.
Reportedly, a Toyota pickup truck was stalled in traffic lanes when another vehicle hit it. Two other cars were also involved in the accident.
An unknown number of parties in the pickup truck and at least one other party sustained minor injuries.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the victims. The injured parties were treated at the scene but declined medical transportation.
Police officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
