At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Shasta County Crash on Dry Creek Road near Squaw Grass Trail
Shasta County, California (April 15, 2022) – At least one person sustained major injuries in a head-on collision that happened Friday afternoon near Bella Vista in Shasta County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred at about 4:06 p.m. on Dry Creek Road, just north of Squaw Grass Trail.
A Nissan Altima and a minivan were involved in the wreck. It appears that the vehicle that was traveling northbound may have crossed into the southbound traffic prompting the crash. Airbags were deployed in both vehicles, and the cars were blocking the southbound lane.
At least one person suffered major injuries in the accident. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to transport the patient to the hospital.
Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
CHP is investigating the incident.
