1 Killed in Tulare County Crash on Highway 99 near Betty Drive

Tulare County, California (April 17, 2022) – One person was killed in a crash involving a wrong-way driver in Tulare County on Sunday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The wrong-way driver was heading north on the southbound side of Highway 99 when they collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle..
The accident occurred just before 4:30 a.m. near Betty Drive.

The wrong-way driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Authorities said the driver is expected to be arrested on multiple charges after treatment.
