Tiffany Haynes Killed, Alfonzo Star Arrested after Long Beach Crash on 710 Freeway

Long Beach, California (April 18, 2022) – Alfonzo Star, 60, of Lakeview Terrace, was arrested after a fatal DUI crash that happened in Long Beach on Monday morning, according to CHP.
Tiffany Haynes, 32, of Los Angeles, died following the wreck that happened at about 1 a.m. on the Long Beach (710) Freeway at San Diego (405) Freeway.
According to CHP, Haynes was driving a 2013 Toyota sedan north on the 710 Freeway when she stopped in the No. 2 lane for unknown reasons.
The Toyota was then struck from behind by a 2002 Chevrolet operated by Star.

Shortly after, a 2018 Ford crashed into the Toyota and a big rig that had also stopped on the right shoulder of the freeway and partially in the No. 3 northbound lane.
Haynes died following the collision.
Star was taken into custody on DUI charges.
An investigation into the deadly collision is ongoing.
