Curtis Gunn Dies in Walnut Creek Crash on Tice Creek Drive

Walnut Creek, California (April 21, 2022) – Curtis Gunn, 64, of Rossmoor, died following an auto-pedestrian accident in Walnut Creek on Saturday night, according to authorities.
The incident took place on Tice Creek Drive near Fairlawn Court at around 9 p.m. April 16.
According to the report, Gunn and his wife, Laurelyn Gunn, were walking on the sidewalk along Tice Creek Drive when a vehicle jumped the curb and struck them.

The vehicle clipped Laurelyn and struck Curtis.
Both victims were taken to a hospital, where Curtis was pronounced deceased.
His wife was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, Stephen Kiesle, 75, of Rossmoor, was rescued from his car after it rolled over.
He was treated for minor injuries and later arrested on charges of vehicular manslaughter and DUI. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on a $250,000 bail.
The crash is under investigation.
