Police Officer Injured, Jeremy Patterson Arrested after Santa Barbara Accident on West Alamar Avenue

Santa Barbara, California (April 21, 2022) – A police officer was injured in a crash involving a suspected DUI motorist in Santa Barbara on Friday evening, according to a local news source.
At around 6:30 p.m. on April 15, the officer was sitting in a parked patrol vehicle in the 200 block of West Alamar Avenue when he was rear-ended by another vehicle.
The officer was trapped in the patrol car and was extricated by the emergency crews.
The officer was injured in the accident.
Jeremy Patterson Arrested after Santa Barbara DUI Crash
Jeremy Joe Patterson, 40, of Santa Barbara, was identified as the driver who rear-ended the officer.
Patterson was arrested and booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on charges of DUI causing injury, driving on a suspended license, and operating a vehicle without an interlock device.
The crash remained under investigation.
