1 Hospitalized after San Mateo Crash on Highway 101 near Poplar Avenue On-Ramp
San Mateo, California (April 21, 2022) – One person was sent to the hospital after a big rig accident that took place Wednesday morning in San Mateo, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities received reports about the crash at around 8:15 a.m. on southbound Highway 101, just north of the Poplar Avenue on-ramp.
The wreck involved a gray Lexus IS250 and a black semi-truck with a 50 feet car trailer without cars onboard.
A 35-year-old woman was transported to the hospital with the complaint of pain.
A SigAlert was issued closing all southbound traffic lanes following the collision.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
