Tracey Kinney Hurt in Pleasant Valley Accident on Pleasant Valley Road

Pleasant Valley, California (April 21, 2022) – Tracey Kinney, 55, of Pollock Pines, was seriously injured in a suspected DUI collision in Pleasant Valley on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Pleasant Valley Road, east of Newton Road, at around 1:15 p.m. April 20.
According to CHP, Kinney was driving a 2015 Fiat sedan east on Pleasant Valley Road when she failed to negotiate a curve on the roadway and lost control.

The Fiat drifted into the westbound side and collided with a 2021 Freightliner truck towing a log loading machinery.
A 1997 Toyota 4 Runner driven by Kinney's boyfriend Michael Carrigan, 51, of Pollock Pines, was following the Fiat and also collided with the big rig.
Kinney was airlifted to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with major injuries.
Both Kinney and Carrigan were suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Carrigan was taken into custody and booked into the El Dorado County Jail in Placerville on DUI charges.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
