30-Year-Old Jovonie Gonzales Among 4 Killed in Madera County Car Accident on Highway 41

Madera County, California (April 22, 2022) – One of the victims of a deadly Madera County collision that took place on April 8 has been identified as 30-year-old Jovonie Gonzales, according to a report by the Madera County Coroner's Office.
The fatal collision occurred at about midnight on Highway 41.
A Scion TC and a black Honda Accord reportedly collided head-on on the highway.
Both vehicles then burst into flames and trapped parties inside.
The vehicles were each carrying two people, and all died in the accident.

The coroner's office identified the victims as Gonzales, Danielle Mesta, 33, Edgar Garza Jr., 28, and a 16-year-old girl.
Further details on the deadly crash were not immediately released.
