Sylmar, California (April 22, 2022) – The pilot who died when a plane crashed in Sylmar on Wednesday afternoon has been identified as John King, 62, of , according to a report by the authorities.

At around 12:30 p.m. April 20, a twin-engine Cessna 337 Skymaster crashed on the side of the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway.

The crash happened near Whiteman Airport.

King was the pilot of the plane and died in the wreck.

The National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA are investigating the crash.
