2 Hospitalized after Hesperia Car Accident on Mariposa Road near Eucalyptus Street
Hesperia, California (April 23, 2022) – Two people were hospitalized with critical injuries after a head-on car crash that happened Friday night in Hesperia, as per a local news source.
The collision was reported at around 9:43 p.m. on Mariposa Road near Eucalyptus Street.
Police said two vehicles collided head-on for unknown reasons.
Firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded and requested two air ambulances to airlift the two critically injured persons. However, the patients were transported by ground ambulance after both helicopters delayed to respond.
The accident prompted a closure of Mariposa Road in both directions, causing heavy traffic. Traffic on the northbound 15 Freeway slowed down due to the closure.
An investigation is ongoing.
