Man Killed in El Segundo Car Accident on 105 Freeway near North Nash Street
El Segundo, California (April 25, 2022) – A man died when the sedan he was driving collided with a Caltrans truck Sunday morning in El Segundo, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident happened at about 8:05 a.m. on eastbound 105 Freeway near North Nash Street.
CHP officers said the Caltrans truck was parked in the center divider when a white sedan crashed into it. A third vehicle was also involved in the collision.
The sole occupant of the sedan, only identified as a man, was found passed out over the steering wheel and bleeding. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Caltrans truck was not occupied at the time of the crash, and no other person was injured.
The Nos. 1 and 2 lanes were closed following the accident.
CHP is investigating the collision.
