Phillip Kim Injured in Fatal Fresno Collision on State Route 99 near North Avenue
Fresno, California (April 27, 2022) – 58-year-old Phillip Kim of Fresno was injured in a multi-vehicle collision that killed one woman early Tuesday morning in Fresno.
According to California Highway patrol, the deadly crash was reported at around 3:15 a.m. on April 26, on SR 99 near North Avenue.
The incident began when the driver of a Dodge Stratus was heading north on SR 99 and swerved into the center divider.
The 66-year-old Stockton woman then overcorrected and swerved across the northbound lanes into the right shoulder, where she hit a concrete wall.
The woman stepped out of her vehicle to check the vehicle's damage.
A short time later, Kim stopped at the scene for the stalled vehicle in the traffic lanes and his Nissan Moreno was struck from the back by a Jeep Cherokee driven by 62-year-old Gloria Archuleta, of Fresno.

The Nissan was pushed forward and it collided with the stockton woman and her Dodge.
The Jeep overturned following the impact of the collision.
The driver of the Dodge, whose name was not released, died in the accident.
A Hyundai Sonata and a Chevrolet Silverado were also involved in the incident.
Kim and the other drivers were left with minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
