San Francisco, CA: 4 Injured in Wednesday Morning Car Crash on 80 Freeway

, California (April 27, 2022) – Four people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday morning on in San Francisco, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The accident occurred at around 6:34 a.m. in the eastbound lanes just west of the Treasure Island Road off-ramp.

A white and a black vehicle were involved in the crash, blocking the Nos. 4 and 5 lanes.

San Francisco firefighters responded to the collision scene.

4 People Injured in San Francisco Accident On I-80

According to the firefighters, three occupants of the black vehicle were transported to San Francisco General Hospital, and an occupant of the van was taken to Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center. All victims sustained unspecified injuries.

A SigAlert was issued closing the Nos. 4 and 5 lanes following the accident.

The van acquired a broken axle. Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.

CHP is investigating the collision.
