Man Killed, Woman Seriously Injured in Burbank Car Crash near Front Street and Magnolia Boulevard

Burbank, California (April 29, 2022) – A man was killed, and a woman was hospitalized with severe injuries after their vehicles collided Thursday afternoon in Burbank, as per a local news source.
The accident happened at about 12:30 p.m. near Front Street and Magnolia Boulevard.
Burbank police and firefighters responded to the scene, near the Golden State (5) Freeway, to find a white SUV and a blue sedan involved in the crash.

The man driving the sedan was trapped in the driver's seat with “significant injuries.” The man was freed but died of his injuries at the scene.
The woman driving the SUV suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The drivers were the only occupants of the cars.
According to witnesses, the blue sedan was speeding prior to the accident.
Police said they are investigating speed as a possible factor contributing to the crash. It remained unknown if drugs or alcohol were also a contributing factor.
The Burbank Police Department is investigating the collision.
