Injuries Reported in Coachella Crash on Interstate 10 near Cactus City Rest Area
Coachella, California (April 29, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a collision between two big rigs near Coachella early Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Interstate 10, just west of the Cactus City Rest Area at around 2:06 a.m.
Two semis reportedly collided on the eastbound lanes of the freeway and the impact caused the trailer of one of them to catch fire.
Authorities believe that the fire was due to butane cartridges in one of the big rigs.
