Cody Munsel Among 4 People Injured in Fatal Fresno Crash on Highway 99 near Clinton Avenue

Fresno, California (April 30, 2022) – Cody Munsel, of Sonora, has been identified as one of the four people who were seriously injured in a traffic accident that killed an 11-year-girl from Tulare earlier this month in Fresno, the CHP said.
The crash occurred on April 1, on Highway 99 near Clinton Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Corolla, driven by Munsel, was traveling on the highway when a Dodge Ram operated by Gerardo Ortiz Jr, 27, of Kingsburg, rear-ended it.
The Ram was reportedly speeding prior to the collision.
Cody Munsel Injured in Highway 99 Crash
The Ram had four passengers, a woman, a 10-year-old boy, and two girls, ages 11 and 12.
Munsel and his passengers sustained major injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Sadly, the 11-year-old girl from Tulare was later pronounced dead at Fresno's Valley Children's Hospital.
More details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
