Bryan Gayley Arrested after Fatal Long Beach Collision on Willow Street near Coyote Creek

Long Beach, California (May 4, 2022) – Bryan Gayley, 66, of Long Beach, was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a deadly collision in Long Beach on Tuesday evening, according to a report by the Long Beach Police Department.
The crash occurred on Willow Street near Coyote Creek at about 6:20 p.m. on May 3.
According to the report, Gayley was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Willow Street when his SUV rear-ended a 1995 GMC Yukon driven by a 53-year-old Compton man.
The impact caused the Compton man to lose control. The Yukon left the roadway and came to a rest upside down in a flood-control channel below.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital, where the Compton man was pronounced deceased.
Gayle was arrested on suspicion of DUI and gross voluntary manslaughter. His bail was set at $100,000.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
