Motorcyclist Killed after Colliding with Sedan on Central Road near Sioux Road in Apple Valley
Apple Valley, California (May 5, 2022) – A rider died in a Thursday morning Apple Valley motorcycle crash that happened on Central Road, as per a local news source.
The accident occurred at about 10 a.m. near Sioux Road.
According to authorities, the wreck involved a black Yamaha sportbike and a red four-door sedan.
Several Good Samaritans stayed with the rider until the emergency crews arrived to transport the patient.
Emergency responders from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District arrived at the scene shortly after receiving reports of the incident.
A witness told the responders that the motorcyclist was thrown pretty far and landed near a parked vehicle.
The rider was taken by ground ambulance to a local area hospital with serious injuries. The victim later succumbed to his injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
Information about the driver of the sedan was not available.
The car acquired front-end damage.
Authorities closed Central Road from Sioux Road to Pahute Avenue as they investigated.
