Driver Extricated, Hospitalized after Sedan Collides with Big Rig at Air Expressway and Nevada Avenue
Victorville, California (May 7, 2022) – A driver was airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries Friday morning after a Victorville big rig crash, as per a local news source.
The accident happened at about 3:06 a.m. at Air Expressway and Nevada Avenue.
A sedan collided with a big rig for unknown reasons, leaving the driver of the sedan trapped.
Firefighters responded to the scene and took about 20-30 minutes to free the driver.
Helicopter Mercy 22 was requested to respond and airlift the critically injured victim to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
Authorities closed a stretch of Air Expressway in both directions until 6:30 a.m. following the accident.
The Victorville Police Department is investigating the collision.
