Mariah Beltran ID'd as Woman Killed in Covina Collision on Santa Monica (10) Freeway near Holt Avenue

Covina, California (May 8, 2022) – Mariah Beltran, 25, of San Bernardino, was killed in a traffic collision that happened in the Covina area on Saturday morning, according to authorities.
The crash happened at about 1:23 a.m. May 7, on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway near Holt Avenue.
A 2006 Saturn Vue was heading west on the freeway when it crashed into a 2018 Honda Accord.
The impact caused the Saturn to roll over, ejecting a passenger in the vehicle.
The passenger, later identified as Beltran, was pronounced deceased at Pomona Valley Hospital.

The driver of the Saturn was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The other motorist was treated for minor injuries.
Authorities said DUI was not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
