Michael Briare Among 2 Killed in San Francisco Plane Crash near Golden Gate Bridge

San Francisco, California (May 9, 2022) – One of the two victims of a fatal plane crash in San Francisco on Friday afternoon has been identified as Michael B. Briare, 57, of Sacramento, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened shortly after 2 p.m. on May 6, near the Golden Gate Bridge.
According to the report, the experimental single-engine Vans RV-10 plane crashed in the Marin Headlands on the ridgetop.
Briare and the second occupant of the plane, Jennifer (JJ) Fox, 52, of Sacramento, were killed in the accident.
It's unclear if weather was a factor in the crash. The pilot was reportedly using VFR, visual flight rules to navigate, not IFR or instrument flight rules that are typically used in bad weather.
According to the report, there was dense fog in the area at the time of the crash.
The wreck remains under investigation.
