David Ramirez Injured in Fatal Moss Landing Crash on Highway 1 near Potrero Road
Moss Landing, California (May 10, 2022) – David Ramirez, 32, of San Jose, was injured in a deadly Moss Landing car crash on Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Ramirez was a passenger in a vehicle that drifted across the yellow lines and collided with a second vehicle on Highway 1.
The crash happened near Potrero Road on Saturday, May 7.
Ramirez and the driver of the vehicle he was in, Monica Gonitz, 31, of San Jose, sustained minor injuries.

The second motorist, who was only identified as a 69-year-old, died following the crash.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the collision.
The crash remained under investigation.
